Kip is currently a top caddie on the PGA Tour, but before beginning his career as a caddie, Kip had quite the golf career. Establishing himself as one of Tennessee’s top professional golfers, Kip was the 1982 and 1997 Tennessee State Open Champion, 4-time Tennessee Section Champion, and 5-time Tennessee PGA “Player of the Year.” He found success on a golf TV show “The Big Break II,” which he won in the final match in 20 holes of play. After his golf career ended, he became a PGA Tour caddie, and a club and teaching pro.
Kip has now been a professional caddie for 16 years, 11 of which were spent with Brian Gay. Kip has also worked short stints with Eric Axley, Jason Bohn, Boo Weekley, J.B. Holmes, Stewart Cink, and Vijay Singh. He now works with Scott Gutschewski. During his career as a caddie, Kip has won 4 tournaments with Brian Gay, 1 with Vijay Singh, and 1 with Austin Cook.
