James is currently a top caddie on the PGA TOUR. He started playing golf at age 6 along with many other sports. After solely focusing on golf, he earned a nomination to play at the US Air Force Academy, at the tender age of 17. After a year and a half, he transferred to the University of Houston to pursue his goal of playing professionally. After graduating from Houston, he played his first pro event with Ryan Palmer.
He soon realized he could make a better living being a caddy than a player. He started caddying for Ryan Palmer in late 2002. James has a wonderful wife in Heather of 16 years and 2 lovely daughters. James is caddying for Tom Hoge.
